TAI + LEE, architects is continuously involved in the reshaping of Pittsburgh's neighborhoods working with the many community–based organizations (CBO's) to design housing, both infill and rehab, that suit the needs and unique context of each neighborhood. As architects for the Crawford Square "For Sale" homes, the firm provided full architectural services for the Hill CDC. The firm also contributed to the development of design guidelines for massing, aesthetics, landscape and streetscape for the development. At Fineview Crest, TAI + LEE worked with Fineview Crest Citizen's Council and the community to analyze the neighborhood context and prepare a masterplan for 12 single-family homes. The Fineview project resulted in revisions to the zoning code that now allows new construction to better integrate with the existing urban fabric. TAI + LEE has worked with CBO's in the North Side, South Side and East End to create quality affordable infill housing designs while retaining the historic streetscape.
