TAI + LEE, architects has provided architectural services for a wide variety of commercial clients including the Hillman Company for the Island Sports Center, the Lhormer Real Estate Company for the Rivertech Centre, Mellon Bank and Bruceton Bank for their banking facilities, and various other private clients for retail and office structures. We pride ourselves on the sensitive and thorough comprehension of programmatic issues developed with our clients and their successful implementation in the built project. Island Sports Center, located on Neville Island, houses several indoor and covered outdoor skating rinks, an indoor field sized for golf practice and soccer under the largest fabric dome structure in Pennsylvania and an attached restaurant/banquet facility overlooking the Ohio River. The firm was responsible for designing the renovation/addition of the 90 year old West Penn Recreation Center and pool complex for the City of Pittsburgh. We have had great success with commercial renovation and streetface projects. Our work has ranged from small store facade renovations to an award winning 40,000 square feet factory renovation for the retail and commercial complex of Birmingham Place. In Greenfield, Pittsburgh, the firm worked with the community to create guidelines for the streetfront renovations of the Murray Avenue business district. We then worked with individual business owners to further develop plans for renovations according to the guidelines.
